Veteran Actor Adeola Shoremi, popularly known as Baba Lanko, Opens Up on Troubled Marriage With Mama No Network.

Veteran Yoruba actor, Adeola Shoremi, widely known in the film industry as Baba Lanko, has spoken about the difficulties he faced in his past marriage with fellow entertainer Atinuke Kazeem, who is popularly called Mama No Network.

The two entertainers officially got married in 2014 in what was described at the time as a high-profile wedding. The ceremony attracted several celebrities and fans, with popular Fuji musician, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, also known as Pasuma Wonder, performing at the occasion.


In a recent interview, Baba Lanko narrated how the marriage later turned sour and was marred by frequent quarrels. He alleged that at some point, the disagreements became violent. According to him, one of the incidents left him with permanent scars




He said, “This is a finger injury I sustained, which left it bent, due to repeated fights with her.” Baba Lanko explained that the injury was caused by an attack from his ex-wife, which he claimed involved the use of a cutlass.

The veteran actor further shared that the separation from Mama No Network eventually led to a new chapter in his life. Interestingly, he disclosed that his current wife came into his life through his former partner.

Baba Lanko revealed that during the period of his marriage with Mama No Network, she once introduced a young apprentice who wanted to learn theatre arts under her guidance. The apprentice later became close to him, and eventually, she turned out to be his present wife.

Speaking on his new family life, the actor said, “The apprentice who was brought to me by my ex-wife is currently my wife, and she has given birth to four children. We’re living fine.”
