Respect My Family. Say Anything About Me, But Leave My Wife And Daughter Out Of It- Akinyoola Ayoola

According to Nigerian Tribune, Popular Nigerian content creator and actor Akinyoola Ayoola, popularly known as Kamo State, has sent a strong message to online critics who have begun targeting his family in their negative commentary.

In a recently posted video on Instagram, the skit maker voiced his concerns and called for boundaries, urging the public to refrain from dragging his wife and child into online drama and speculation.

Kamo State, who has recently faced increased criticism on social media, expressed frustration over how personal issues involving his family have become subjects of public debate.

Although he acknowledged that scrutiny is an expected part of his life as a public figure, he emphasized that the attacks on his family have crossed a line, especially as they are not in the public eye.

The actor stated firmly, “Respect my family. Say anything about me, but leave my wife and daughter out of it. They didn’t sign up for this. I’m the public figure here—not them.”

His emotional appeal made it clear that while he may be used to the pressures of fame, bringing his loved ones into the spotlight in a negative way is unacceptable.

Kamo and his wife, Esther Olamide, recently welcomed their first child in April 2025—a moment they celebrated openly with their fans and followers.

The couple had previously tied the knot in December 2024 in a ceremony that was widely described as beautiful and intimate. However, since their union, the couple has become the subject of relentless online criticism and speculation.

A major point of controversy was Kamo’s absence on the red carpet during the December premiere of Funke Akindele’s movie Everybody Loves Jenifa.

At the time, his wife was visibly pregnant, and many expected him to accompany her. His absence led to backlash and online chatter, with some questioning his support for his wife.

The situation escalated when it came to light that Funke Akindele had played a significant role in their lives—featuring in Kamo’s skits and even sponsoring the naming ceremony of their child.

While many commended Akindele for her generosity, others began spreading unfounded conspiracy theories about her involvement in the couple’s personal affairs. Kamo responded by describing these narratives as “hurtful and misleading.”

In the video, Kamo’s voice trembled with emotion as he called out the cruelty of involving people who never asked to be part of public scrutiny.

He emphasized that his wife and daughter should not be targets simply because of his fame.

“They didn’t sign up for this,” he reiterated, stressing that his family deserves peace and respect.

Kamo concluded his video by urging social media users and bloggers to be more compassionate and to understand the boundaries between public and private life.

He pleaded for empathy, especially when discussing individuals who are not in the spotlight by choice. His message was clear and heartfelt—a call for dignity, respect, and responsible online behavior.
